February Home Maintenance Checklist

  • Inspect the attic for signs of water intrusion, including staining and active leaks
     

  • Locate and verify access to the main plumbing drain clean-out
     

  • Inspect and replace toilet flappers or seals every 1–3 years to ensure proper function and prevent leaks
     

  • Inspect and maintain garage door weatherstripping to ensure a tight seal and prevent drafts or water intrusion
     

  • Inspect and replace garage door opener batteries once a year to ensure reliable operation
     

  • Light fixtures and switches – verify proper operation and replace non-functioning bulbs (if accessible)
